Strawberry Shortcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
4 to 5 tbsp. Crisco

Preparation

Sift dry ingredients together.
Rub in the shortening lightly.
Beat egg and add with milk.
Roll out 1/8 inch thick and cut with biscuit cutter.
Brush over with melted utter and bake in a moderate oven.
