Fried Mushrooms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 egg, separated
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 2/3 c. crushed Corn Chex cereal
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/3 c. milk
    1 lb. mushrooms, cleaned
Preparation
    Mix flour, salt, baking powder and pepper.
    Beat egg yolk and milk together. Blend in dry ingredients.
    Beat egg white until foamy.
    Add sugar and beat until stiff, but not dry. Fold this into milk mixture.
    Dip mushrooms in batter.
    Drain.
    Roll in crushed cereal and fry until golden brown.
