Harvard Beets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can sliced beets
    1 Tbsp. flour or cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    3 Tbsp. white vinegar
Preparation
    Drain beets and save juice.
    Mix flour or cornstarch and sugar together; add vinegar slowly, stirring to prevent lumps. Add beet juice and cook over low heat until mixture thickens, stirring constantly.
    Add the beet slices, simmer until they are thoroughly hot.
