Ingredients

1 c. self-rising flour
1 3/4 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. milk
2 Tbsp. butter, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt
1 1/2 c. hot water
whipped cream or ice cream (optional)
Preparation

Combine
flour,
3/4 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons cocoa; stir in
milk,
butter and vanilla.
Pour batter into a 9-inch square baking pan.
Combine
1
cup sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa and salt; mix well and sprinkle over batter.
Pour water over top;
bake at 350\u00b0 for
30
minutes.
Serve
warm.
Top
with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.
