Cheese Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium potatoes, diced
    2 stalks celery (optional)
    2 carrots, shredded
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
    2 chicken bouillon cubes
    salt and pepper
    5 c. water
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. flour
    1/2 lb. cubed Velveeta cheese
    1/2 lb. bacon or cubed ham (optional)
Preparation
    Combine first 8 ingredients in large saucepan.
    Simmer 20 to 30 minutes until vegetables are tender.
    Add milk to flour and blend well.
    Add milk to vegetables and cook until thickened, stirring continuously.
    Add bacon or ham.
    Add cheese and stir until melted.
