Tart Cherry Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (16 oz.) can red tart cherries
1 (8 1/2 oz.) can crushed pineapple or larger can is okay
1/2 c. sugar
2 (3 oz.) pkg. cherry jello
1 1/2 c. ginger ale
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional) or coconut
Preparation

Drain fruits, reserve juices to make 1 5/8 cups.
Stir in sugar.
Bring to boil, stir in gelatin until it is dissolved.
Add fruit and ginger ale.
Chill until very thick, but not set.
Stir in nuts or coconut.
Pour in large ring mold.
Chill until set.
