Pastry For Quiche Crust - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. butter
    3 tsp. vegetable shortening
    1/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Stir salt into flour.
    Cut shortening into dry ingredients until crumbly and size of peas.
    Sprinkle milk over flour and shortening mixture, stirring lightly with fork to blend.
    Don't overmix.
    Shape into 2 balls with hands.
    Chill 1 hour.
    Roll out, using as little flour as possible.
    (Use pastry cloth and rolling pin cover to prevent sticking.)
    Place crust in pan, pressing firmly around edge.
    Do not stretch crust but rather ease it in so that the crust doesn't shrink away from side of pan while baking. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 5 minutes.
