Sugarplums - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. sugar, divided
    1 c. chopped dates
    1 c. coconut
    1 c. chopped walnuts
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Blend eggs and 1 cup sugar.
    Stir in chopped dates, coconut, walnuts and vanilla.
    Butter a 2-quart casserole dish and pour in mixture.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool until mixture can be handled.
    Roll into walnut sized balls.
    Roll balls in remaining sugar.
