Peaches And Cream French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices French or Italian bread, cut diagonally 3/4-inch thick
    3 eggs
    1 c. light cream
    2 Tbsp. peach preserves
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    3 Tbsp. melted butter
    3 c. fresh, peeled, sliced peaches
    confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Arrange bread in a single layer in a baking pan.
    Combine eggs, cream, peach preserves and nutmeg.
    Beat until smooth and pour over the bread.
    Turn the slices to coat evenly.
    Cover and refrigerate overnight.
