Yummy Caramel Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    32 caramels or 1 c. syrup
    3/4 c. butter
    1/3 c. light cream or evaporated milk
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. pecans, chopped coarsely
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. dark brown sugar (firm)
    1 c. old-fashioned oats (uncooked)
Preparation
    Melt caramels and cream.
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Lightly butter 11 x 7 x 1 1/2-inch pan.
    Mix flour, soda, salt, brown sugar and oats.
    Cut in butter.
    Put half in pan and press evenly with chocolate chips and pecans.
    Then spread with caramel mixture. Sprinkle remaining oat mix evenly over the caramel.
    Bake 20 minutes.
    Cool 30 to 45 minutes.
    Chill in fridge 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
