Texas Pecan Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 C butter, softened
2 C granulated sugar
6 eggs
4 C self rising flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
2 C golden raisins
4 C unbroken pecans
4 oz candied cherries
4 oz candied pineapple
1 tsp vanilla flavoring
1 tsp butter favoring
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flavorings and mix well. Sift flour and baking powder together. Add part of flour to mixture and mix well. Add remaining flour, along with nuts, raisins, and candied fruit. Mix well. Pour into tube pan and bake at 275 for two hours. Reduce heat to 225 and bake an additional hour.
