Crusty Curried Fried Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 to 3 lb. broiler-fryer chicken, cut up
    1/4 c. shortening
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. Bisquick
    2 Tbsp. curry powder
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Heat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Wash chicken.
    Pat dry.
    In oven, melt shortening and butter in baking pan.
    Mix Bisquick, curry powder, salt and pepper.
    Coat chicken pieces thoroughly with flour mix. Place chicken (skin down) in melted shortening.
    Cook uncovered for 30 minutes. Turn chicken; cook 30 minutes longer or until pieces are fork-tender.
    Serve hot.
