Decorator Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/4 c. Crisco or any white shortening
3 3/4 c. (1 lb.) sifted confectioners sugar
3 Tbsp. water or milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
coloring (if desired)

Preparation

With electric mixer at medium speed, cream together Crisco and confectioners sugar.
Add water or milk and vanilla.
Scrape bowl and beaters during mixing.
Continue beating until completely blended.
Add coloring, if desired.
Yields 3 1/4 cups.
