German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 cans sliced potatoes
    1 1/2 lb. bacon
    1 medium onion, diced
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    1 c. water
    1 or 2 tsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Cut bacon in pieces.
    Fry until brown.\tKeep 1/2 cup of bacon drippings and fry the onions in it.
    Drain.
    Mix vinegar, sugar and water; bring to a boil.
    Add cornstarch, onions and bacon. Pour mix over potatoes and heat thoroughly.
