Turnip Greens - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    fresh turnips with tops
    1/2 lb. bacon or 1 1/2 c. ham, cut into chunks
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Clean turnip greens thoroughly to remove any sand.
    Strip out heavy leaf vein.
    Peel turnips; cut into small cubes.
    Put greens, turnips and meat in saucepot (2 or 3-quart).
    Add 3/4 cup water. Cook over medium heat for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
