Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. cake flour
    1 3/4 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 egg, unbeaten
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream shortening, egg, milk and vanilla.
    Sift and add dry ingredients.
    Beat 3 minutes until batter is well blended and glossy.
    Cover bottom of well-greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch square pan with 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar and 2 tablespoons melted butter.
