Spanish Hamburger Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
    2 (2 oz.) cans mushrooms
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. sliced green olives
    2 tsp. sugar
    3/4 c. red wine
    1 1/2 c. water
    4 medium carrots, sliced
    Parmesan cheese (optional)
Preparation
    Cook beef until browned; drain fat.
    Sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon salt and dash of pepper, if desired.
    Add tomatoes, tomato
    sauce, carrots, mushrooms, onion, olives and sugar.
    Stir in water and wine.
    Cover; simmer 45 to 50 minutes, until carrots are tender.
    Stir occasionally.
    Sprinkle individual servings with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
