Homestead Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. melted butter
    1 egg, well beaten
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. brown sugar
Preparation
    Combine sugar, butter and egg.
    Blend in dry ingredients and nuts.
    Press into refrigerator tray and chill 1/2 hour in freezer or in refrigerator overnight.
    Cut in 1/4-inch slices.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 400\u00b0 until brown.
