Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    7 dips flour (what you can hold with your 4 fingers and thumb)
    6 to 7 Tbsp. cocoa
    4 c. milk
    6 egg yolks
    1/2 stick butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix sugar, flour and cocoa.
    Beat egg yolks with milk.
    Mix dry ingredients with milk and egg.
    Cook in heavy pan until thick; add butter and vanilla.
    Pour into baked pie shell.
    Beat egg whites until they hold a peak.
    Add 2 teaspoons sugar per egg white.
    Add 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar.
    Beat until very stiff. Frost pie.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 until golden brown.
