Gumdrop Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 lb. raisins
1/2 c. solid Crisco
2 c. sugar
1 c. cold water
1 tsp. soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. nuts
1 c. spiced gumdrops
4 c. flour

Preparation

Boil raisins until practically dry. Add Crisco. Dissolve soda in 1 cup of water. Add sugar. Sift all dry ingredients together; add to mix. Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 2 hours at 325\u00b0.
