Squash Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg, beaten
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    2 Tbsp. milk
    2 Tbsp. chopped onion
    1 c. cooked mashed squash
    1/2 c. self-rising flour
    hot vegetable oil
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients except vegetable oil.
    Drop mixture by tablespoons into 1/8-inch hot oil in a large skillet.
    Cook to golden brown, turn and brown other side.
    Yields about 14.
