Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cut up chicken or chicken wings
    2 lb. hot sausage, cut in 2-inch lengths
    2 lb. peeled and deveined shrimp or 3 pkg. dry shrimp
    1 1/2 c. roux (equal amounts oil and flour)
    1 finely chopped onion
    2 lb. cleaned crab (if available)
    1 lb. cut up stew meat
    1 lb. pickled meat (if desired)
    1 Tbsp. gumbo file
    1 lb. smoked sausage
    1/2 c. finely chopped bell pepper
    1/2 c. parsley flakes or fresh parsley
    4 c. boiling water
    1 Tbsp. Nature's Seasons seasoning blend
    2 tsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. red pepper
    1/2 c. chopped green onion (shallots)
    1 lb. chopped ham pieces
    1 tsp. Creole seasoning (Cajun)
Preparation
    In a large pot, steam chicken pieces, smoked sausage, hot sausage, stew meat, chopped ham and/or pickled meat and crab (if any).
    Cook about 10 to 15 minutes.
