Lovers Delight - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
2 egg yolks (keep whites)
2 Tbsp. water
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. soda

Preparation

Mix together shortening, salt and vanilla; add remaining ingredients. After mixing all these ingredients together, spread real thin on cookie sheet. Sprinkle 1/2 cup chopped nuts and 1/2 cup chocolate chips on top. Beat egg whites until stiff; add 1 cup brown sugar and spread on top. Bake for 20 minutes or until done at 350\u00b0.
