Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 loaves old French or Italian bread
    2 qt. milk
    1/4 lb. (8 Tbsp.) butter
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    4 eggs
Preparation
    Cut edges of bread and soak in milk until soft.
    With fork, crumble bread into milk.
    Melt butter.
    Preheat oven at 375\u00b0. Butter a glass mold, 9 x 13-inch.
    To bread soaked in milk, add sugar, salt, vanilla and melted butter.
    Break eggs and beat slightly, adding same into vanilla mixture.
    Stir together and pour into glass mold.
    Place in oven for 1 1/2 hours.
    Can be served cold in slices.
