Apricot Dream Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. apricots
    1/2 c. butter
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 1/3 c. sifted flour
    2 eggs
    1 c. brown sugar, packed
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Rinse apricots; cover with water.
    Boil 10 minutes.
    Drain. Cool and chop.
    Combine butter, sugar and 1 cup of the flour and blend together until crumbly.
    Pack into bottom of greased 8-inch square pan.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for about 15 minutes, until lightly browned.
    Beat eggs and beat in brown sugar gradually. Sift remaining flour with baking powder
    and salt.
    Stir into egg and sugar mixture.
    Blend in vanilla, nuts and apricots.
    Spread over baked layer.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 30 minutes.
    Cool.
    Cut into bars and roll in confectioners sugar.
