Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sliced apples
butter
1 c. flour
1 c. milk
6 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Heat a 9 or 10-inch iron skillet in a 475\u00b0 oven.
Saute apples in butter; set aside and keep warm.
In a blender, combine remaining ingredients in order given; blend well.
Remove skillet from oven, melt 2 tablespoons butter in it.
Arrange apples on bottom of skillet.
Pour batter over apples.
Bake at 475\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
Reduce to 375\u00b0 and bake 10 minutes more.
Remove from oven and invert on serving plate.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar and cut into wedges to serve.
