German Cheese Cake - cooking recipe

1 1/2 pt. sour cream
7 eggs
5 tsp. vanilla
1 box graham cracker crumbs or 22 crackers, crumbled
32 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. sugar
6 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
Preparation

Use 10-inch spring-form pan.
Mix sour cream, cream cheese, eggs, vanilla and 1 cup sugar in large bowl; beat 25 minutes on medium speed.
Meanwhile, combine crumbs, 2 tablespoons sugar and melted butter; mix well.
Press onto bottom and sides of pan. Chill in freezer 15 minutes.
Pour batter in pan.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 1 1/4 hours or until top is very brown.
Turn off oven; let stay 2 hours with door ajar.
Top with cherry pie filling.
Yields 10 to 12 servings.
