Conversation Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. red cinnamon candies
    2 c. hot water
    2 small pkg. raspberry gelatin
    1 c. ice water
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    2 c. applesauce
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese or cottage cheese
    2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
Preparation
    Dissolve cinnamon candies in hot water while coming to a boil. Dissolve gelatin in hot cinnamon water.
    Add ice water, lemon juice and applesauce.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Cool until slightly thickened.
    Add chopped nuts.
    Mix cream cheese and mayonnaise well.
    Swirl cheese mixture in gelatin.
    Turn into mold and chill.
