Pound Cake With Glaze - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking powder
dash of salt
3 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. each: lemon, coconut, almond and vanilla flavoring
1 c. milk
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
Grease 2 loaf pans.
Separate eggs. Beat egg whites until fluffy.
Gradually add 1 cup sugar, then set aside.
Cream butter, shortening and 2 cups sugar.
Add egg yolks. Sift flour, salt and baking powder.
Add dry ingredients alternately with milk, ending with dry ingredients, to cake mixture.
Add flavorings.
Fold in egg whites.
Bake about 1 hour.
