Dill Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 qt. water
    1 qt. vinegar
    about 1 pkg. of small cucumbers, washed and dried
    1 cup canning salt
    fresh dill, alum, garlic cloves
Preparation
    In each jar, put 2 dill heads, 1 clove garlic, alum (the size of a pea) and cucumbers packed tightly.
    Mix water, vinegar, and salt in pan and bring to a boil.
    Pour over cucumbers and let stand about 5 minutes; drain. Heat again.
    Do this 3 times then seal.
