Coconut Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. shortening
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    1 c. coconut
    1 Tbsp. coconut flavoring
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt; sift together twice. Cream shortening and sugar for 10 minutes.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
    Add flour mixture alternately with milk, beating after each addition.
    Stir in coconut flavoring and coconut.
    Pour into tube pan and place in a cold oven.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 25 minutes.
