Pot Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb chuck roast
    1 can Campbell's french onion soup
    1 can Campbell's golden mushroom soup
    1 onion
    6 medium potatoes
    2 carrots
Preparation
    Brown roast on both sides with a little shortening on medium high. Cover with water; turn down to low; simmer for several hours until tender. Mix soups together; pour over roast. Peel and quarter onion and potatoes. Scrape carrots and cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces. Add ingredients to roast to flavor. Cook until all vegetables are tender.
