Water Chestnut Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. chicken stock
    2 Tbsp. low sodium soy sauce
    1/4 c. additional chicken broth
    2 cans (5 oz.) water chestnuts, drained and sliced
    1 Tbsp. dried minced onion
    2 Tbsp. pimento, chopped
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. cold water
Preparation
    Combine stock, soy sauce, water chestnuts, onion and pimento in saucepan; set aside.
    Combine cornstarch and cold water to make a paste; add to liquid.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
    Makes 3 cups.
