Fruit Cocktail Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 can fruit cocktail
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. brown sugar
Preparation
    Sift together flour, sugar, salt and soda.
    Drain fruit cocktail and reserve juice; add all but 2 Tbsp. juice to flour mixture.
    Beat in egg and add vanilla.
    Gently stir in fruit cocktail.
    Place in well greased 8 inch square pan.
    Sprinkle brown sugar on top and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour, checking at 50 minutes.
