Mashed Turnips And Butter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. white turnips
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. black pepper
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 stick butter or margarine
Preparation
    Cover sliced turnips
    with water and boil until tender. Remove from water and mash, adding the salt, pepper, sugar and the butter.
    In
    the
    empty
    pot, replace the turnips and heat for 5 to
    10 minutes, stirring frequently.
    Serve hot.
    Serves 6 to 8.
