Sally Lunn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c sifted flour
    3 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c milk
    1/2 c shortening
    1/4 c sugar
Preparation
    Sift flour with baking powder and salt.
    Combine egg and milk.
    Cream shortening and sugar together and add flour alternately with liquid mixture.
    Place in greased loaf pan or muffin pans and bake in over at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Makes 1 loaf or 12 muffins.
