Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. oatmeal
    1/4 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Sift flour, soda and salt together.
    Add sugar, shortening, egg and vanilla.
    Mix until smooth. Add oatmeal and nuts. Shape dough into rolls.
    Wrap in waxed paper and chill.
    Slice 1/2-inch thick.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
