Layered Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 head lettuce
1 can English peas
1 c. chopped celery
1 c. chopped onion
1 can water chestnuts
4 eggs, boiled and chopped
8 slices bacon, fried and diced
2 c. mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. sugar
4 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
-
Tear lettuce into small pieces and place in dish.
Layer rest of ingredients in order given.
Mix sugar in mayonnaise and spread over salad as frosting.
Top with cheese.
Cover and refrigerate overnight before serving.
