Aunt Gen'S Sweet Potato Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (16 oz.) can sweet potatoes
1/2 stick softened butter or oleo
3/4 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
1 (9-inch) pastry shell
Cool Whip (optional)
Preparation

Drain potatoes; mash slightly.
Cream with sugar, butter and spices.
When smooth, add eggs and milk.
(Mix will be soupy.) Pour in prepared pie shell.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes or until knife inserted in middle comes out clean.
Serve hot or at room temperature with Cool Whip, if desired.
