Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening (1/2 butter and 1/2 oleo)
    1 2/3 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. mace
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs, one at a time.
    Fold in the flour and mace, then the vanilla.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until tests done.
    This recipe is over 60 years old.
