Italian Summertime Tomato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. good tomatoes
    12 leaves fresh basil
    3 cloves garlic, peeled
    1 small red onion
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 Tbsp. good olive oil
Preparation
    About 1/2 hour before dinner, place in serving bowl: tomatoes (cut in wedges), basil leaves, garlic cloves, onion (cut in thin wedges), salt, pepper and olive oil.
    Stir and leave on counter. Stir about every 10 minutes.
    Remove garlic and serve in curved bowl with crusty Italian bread for dunking.
    Serves 2 to 6 people.
