Rhubarb Dessert(Hand Me Downs) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
2 c. flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
5 to 6 c. rhubarb, cut into small pieces
6 beaten egg yolks
2 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. half and half
Preparation

Mix the first 3 ingredients.
Pat into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake 10 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Combine rhubarb and rest of ingredients.
Pour over crust.
Bake 40 to 50 minutes at 350\u00b0. Beat 6 egg whites until foamy.
Add 2 teaspoons vanilla; beat until stiff peaks are formed.
Spread meringue on top.
Brown in oven until golden.
