Pasta Fagoli - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. Northern beans
Preparation
    Sort and rinse beans in cold water.
    In a 3-quart pan, add 4 cups cold water.
    Let come to a boil.
    Drain beans and add 8 cups cold water to beans.
    Add large clove garlic and let come to boil again.
    Lower heat to simmer.
    Cook beans approximately 30 to 40 minutes or until al dente.
    Do not overcook.
    Set aside until ready to add to pasta.
    Beans could be cooked several days before and refrigerated until ready to use.
