Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. flour
    3/4 c. vegetable shortening
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 cake yeast
    1/2 c. lukewarm water
    2 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Sift together dry ingredients.
    Cut in shortening thoroughly. Add buttermilk and yeast, dissolved in water.
    Mix with spoon until all flour is moistened.
    Roll out onto floured surface to 1/2 to 3/4-inch thickness.
    Cut biscuits.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 on cookie sheet for 12 minutes.
    This dough will keep several weeks in the refrigerator.
