Roasted Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (5 lb.) whole chicken
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 garlic clove
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    2 Tbsp. margarine
Preparation
    Trim
    fat
    from
    chicken
    and
    place in a 12-inch Dutch oven. Rub
    chicken with salt inside and out.
    Sprinkle pepper in cavity. Rub garlic and thyme on outside of bird.
    Tie bird and
    spread margarine
    on
    outside.
    Roast
    for
    2 1/4 hours. Replenish
    coals halfway through cooking time. Cook on medium heat.
