Wifey Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 t. butter
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 c. uncooked basmati or jasmine rice
2 c. water
1/2 t. salt
4 T thinly sliced green onion tops
4 t. minced fresh basil (or 1-2 dried)
2 t. minced fresh thyme (or 1/2 - 1 dried)
4 T grated fresh parmesan cheese
Thyme sprigs (optional)
Preparation

Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Add garlic; saute 1 minute.
Add rice; stir well.
Add water and salt; bring to a boil.
Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
Stir in green onions, basil, and thyme.
Sprinkle with cheese; garnish with thyme sprigs, if desired.
Yield:
4 servings (serving size 1 c.).
