Pineapple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow or white cake mix
    2 pkg. frozen coconut or 1 large can pineapple, drained
    2 (8 oz.) containers sour cream
    2 c. sugar
    1 large container Cool Whip
Preparation
    Bake cake and split in 4 layers.
    Mix pineapple, sour cream and sugar.
    Set aside 1 cup mixture.
    Spread remainder between layers, then mix Cool Whip with 1 cup reserved mixture.
    Cover cake with this mixture.
