Fried Cornmeal Mush - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow cornmeal
    1 c. cold water
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients together.
    Bring to boil 2 3/4 cups water, then add the cornmeal, water, salt and sugar mixture, stirring all the time.
    Cook until thick.
    Reduce heat, cover pan and cook 5 more minutes, frequently stirring.
    Pour into loaf pan and cool, then refrigerate several hours.
    Slice and fry in hot fat, slowly turning only once.
