Summer Succotash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 fresh ears of corn
    2 c. lima beans
    1/3 c. lean salt pork or bacon
    1 small onion, chopped
    1/2 c. half and half
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cut enough corn to measure 2 cups.
    Mix beans, salt pork and onion in 3-quart saucepan.
    Add enough water to cover.
    Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
    Cover and simmer 20 to 25 minutes or until beans are tender.
    Stir in corn. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer about 5 or 10 minutes or until corn is tender. Drain.
    Stir in half and half, salt and pepper.
    Heat stirring constantly, just until heated through.
