Italian Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. sweet Italian sausage or turkey sausage
1 1/2 c. water
1 medium onion, sliced
2 medium zucchini, sliced
1 (15 oz.) can garbanzo or kidney beans
1 1/2 tsp. basil leaves or fresh
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can beef broth
grated Parmesan cheese
1 c. uncooked pasta (small shells, elbows, etc.)
Preparation

Cook sausage and onion; drain.
Stir in tomatoes with liquid, beans with liquid and broth.
Add basil; heat until boiling. Simmer, covered, for 1 hour.
Add zucchini and pasta; cook 10 minutes more.
